:-D : Sort falling jellies by color in this addicting and charming puzzle action game.

:-( : Could use more added to the gameplay to help ramp up the replay value.

8-O : There are five different jellies with unique powers that spice things up.

Jelly All Stars Full (universal) is a puzzle action game that tests gamers’ reflexes. The goal is to sort the falling jellies by color to combine and create six different mega jellies.

There are special star jellies that destroy the jellies of the same color. Earning the highest score possible depends on making big jellies and then destroying them to progress through the levels. Of course, the levels continue to get more difficult as players progress.

There’s more to the gameplay then just creating big jellies. Gamers who are skilled can use the five special jellies with unique powers to earn a high score. For instance, there are diamond jellies that destroy all jellies of the same color, even when they aren’t connected and there are bombs that blow jellies off the screen.

Jelly All Stars is similar to Tetris in many ways, but it offers its own gameplay style to keep things interesting. Instead of creating rows of blocks, gamers will want to focus on matching the same color jellies. It’s possible to see what jelly is up next on the left. Just tap on the screen to rotate the jellies and use the arrow buttons to guide them down. It doesn’t take long to learn how to play.

Gamers looking for a simple puzzler like Tetris will appreciate this title, but those yearning for more may get bored quickly. There aren’t any Game Center leaderboards or achievements, but it does keep track of local and online high scores. The gameplay could use more to ramp up the replay value like goals, different modes and perhaps even new obstacles thrown into the mix.

While Jelly All Stars may not appeal to everyone, it’s still fun to pick-up-and-play when the mood strikes. Fortunately, there’s a light version for players to try first. If you like the free light game, then upgrade to the full version for less than one dollar. The colorful and funny graphics combined with the catchy music had me sold from the start.
