Megaplex Madness 2 HD (also available for the iPhone) takes gamers into the world of customer management inside a movie theater. It’s a basic time management game that makes it possible for players to manage their very own megaplex theater. It’s the second game in the Megaplex Madness series.
The goal is to keep customers satisfied. When they enter the movie theater, it’s essential to serve and seat them. Gamers will find themselves placing customers at ticket counters, bathrooms and arcades in order to earn three stars in each level.
Players must tap and drag the customers accordingly to keep everyone satisfied. Since all the customers will want to do different things, the game can get hectic. Serving points in the game are limited, so when a serving point is full, customers must wait. The longer they wait, the more dissatisfied they get. Customers may eventually leave the theater if they are not happy. As one may assume, more and more customers fill the theater as players progress.
In addition to the serving points, the game also includes coins. Each customer has a color that correlates to their desires. Serving customers with the same color at the same serving point creates a colored star that earns coins. These coins are used to play the arcade stages. Along with earning coins, players earn points and money to use to purchase additional upgrades and serving points.
Finishing a level earns a star rating. Getting all three stars awards players a decoration for their themed theater. There are five different themes to play: Sci-Fi, Action, Romance, Horror and Western, and each one features 10 levels. Don’t worry if this doesn’t sound like enough replay value as there are different difficulty levels to play, and there’s also an arcade mode with five games to earn even more money.
The only downfall is that it uses the freemium model. Players can technically enjoy it without paying anything out of their own pocket, but it’s tempting to purchase more coins and cash. It isn’t overly pushy at trying to get gamers to buy anything, but they’ll need to pay $2.99 to unlock the full version to enjoy everything that the game has to offer.
Overall, Megaplex Madness 2 is a fun time management game for those who enjoy this genre. It’s easily recommendable since it’s free to try. Give it a shot and let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
